Last year Stephen was listed as the fifty third most wealthy in the US by Forbes Magazine, even so it isn’t money which makes this tale so gripping but in addition his astounding rise to power in the business and finance sector and his generosity to education and the arts. This Blackstone Group financial giant is a magnificent role model and his life exemplifies the fact that wealth and success can be attained through putting in the hours and being truly focused your goals.

The Blackstone Group was initially launched by Stephen A. Schwarzman and his business partner Peter Peterson as a company providing financial advice and private-equity management. Living for most of childhood and adolescence in near Philadelphia, PA, Stephen got his schooling in suburban Philadelphia. After high school he decided on an undergraduate degree course at the elevated Yale University in Connecticut. Harvard Business School near Boston was the obvious next stop on his pathway to success, here he graduated in 1972. Then he joined with Lehman Brothers investment bank, situated in New York City. Before he reached his thirty-second birthday Stephen was already a managing director. Not only does Stephen give his time to a wide range of not for profit organizations, but he has also been a non-faculty professor at Yale. Further, he is the Chairman to the Board of Trustees at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Furthermore, Stephen recently presented to the New York Public Library $100,000,000 to assist in their recent construction program. They also called one of their new buildings the “Stephen A. Schwarzman Building” in his honor. It is hardly surprising that Stephen Schwarzman has become part of America’s elite: As one of Times Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People on the planet, Stephen is nowadays in the center of media attention and impacting people’s lives on a worldwide scale. His meteoric rise to power in the business and financial sectors is surely amazing, and his readiness to give back to his community as illustrated by his liberal donations to the liberal arts and education programs stimulates those people who are inspired by him. So America awaits Stephen’s next move. Stephen A. Schwarzman is no doubt a captivating businessman who has made his mark on the USA and the world at large.
