For thousands of years philosophers thru the ages have pondered the question of what is time. Indeed this is one of the most enjoyable topics for physics students to discuss; What is time? If you search the Internet you will find Scientific Forums such as Slash Dot discussing these things. Recently in an online think tank the subject came up again and a fellow thinker named Marv had this to say has he defined what time really is and he stated:
“What we call “time” is only a metric used to measure change. Change requires movement. If every sub-atomic particle through out the universe, even those yet to be discovered, were to suddenly stop in place, there would be no time. Bread wouldn’t go stale, we wouldn’t age, and roses would never bloom. Nothing would happen.”
Yet with change being the only constant we realize that it cannot be so, time in that regard cannot stop, but perhaps some of the spinning can be reversed setting the observer backwards as well. It seems that the definition of time is at issue and humans and philosophers have always tried to define it; “time is like a river flowing to the ocean” a poet might say. Or time is that which separates the past, present and future.
Have you thought much about time? Have you taken the time to consider such thoughts? What does time mean to you? Are you stressed out constantly over time? Do you never seem to have enough of it to get all those things done you wish to do? If you get a little extra time, then please consider this in 2006.

Cyprus is an island with strong greek traditions, but to most of us simply know it as a great hotspot, which has made it a very popular destination for Europeans, with over 2.4 million visiting the island each year. The island receives over 330 days of sunshine a year, which has given it the name The Island of the Sun. With plenty of travel agents providing Cyprus holidays and low cost airlines such as Easyjet offering routes to Paphos and Larnaca, it has never been easier to get there.
While attracting visitors from around the world, most of them tend to be Europeans. Affluent eastern Europeans and Russians have also joined the crowd in recent years. The British Armed Forces have long has a presence in Cyprus. The UK retains a military base in order to have a gateway for forces to the Middle East. The impact of this on the surrounding area is that Cypriots have grown used to, and this has in turned resulted in areas that are less traditional and more contemporary in culture. English is widely spoke and understood among nearly all age groups to driving on the left side of the road. A major attraction for many Brit tourists is that the island offers all of the comforts and familiarities of home, but we also get to bask in the sun.
Much of olden Cyprus is giving away to culture that is more eclectic and less traditional. However, this side of Cyprus, that continues to attract millions of tourists year after year, is only one aspect of the island and is concentrated around the tourist hotspots of Paphos, Larnaca and Ayia Napa. As soon as you leave the packaged paradise and clubbers haven of these areas and hit the road the real country reveals itself.
Its worth tearing yourself away from the beach and visiting the Troodod Mountains if you can. In the heart of the mountains you will find the Kykkos monastery, a UNESCO world heritage site since 1998. Housing art and exhibits on ancient Greece, the monastery has the twin function of being a museum for visitors and a practising monastery lived in by worshiping monks. Kykkos even has its own winery where the monks bottle and sell their wine. A daytrip to the Troodos Mountains can be a welcome change from the beach and with overnight accommodation available in many of the authentic villages dotted about; you might want to spend a few days here sampling another side of Cyprus.

Are you looking to purchase your first home, but you don’t know what to do first? The first step to owning your own home is to get a plan in place.
By planning ahead, you can be sure that you are ready to buy a home. Purchasing a home is a big deal. It is a stressful and emotional transition. But it can go smoothly with a little preparation.
First, you need to assess your credit. If you already have a good credit rating, then you are set. If your credit needs a little work, then you need to take the time to improve it. Your credit rating will determine how much interest you pay on your mortgage. A small increase in an interest rate can add up to tens of thousands of dollars over thirty years.
You can improve or maintain your score by simply paying your bills on time and using your credit wisely. The key is to have less credit than you can afford. A poor credit rating can mean that you will be rejected for your mortgage. You have to start working on your credit.
The second thing you will need to do is to start saving. You will need money for a down payment, closing costs and for repairs and maintenance after you own the home. Start a savings plan that will help you handle the financial burden of owning a home. You should be prepared with more money than necessary in your savings. This will cushion you from any surprises.
Create a budget to help you know how much you can afford on monthly housing expenses. A budget is simply an accounting of what you get in income and what you spend in expenses. Many online calculators will help give you a general idea of what an acceptable housing expense should be. But only you know what you spend each month, so you should look to your own spending to determine a final figure.
Be aware that there is more to owning a home than a mortgage payment. You will have property taxes, utility costs and hookup fees, maintenance, moving expenses, closing costs, homeowners’ insurance and private mortgage insurance. These expenses can add up quickly and will hurt you if you aren’t prepared for them.
You should also consider any increases that could occur from your new home. For example, you could be further from work, which increases your fuel expenses for commuting. If you purchase a condo, you will have association fees to pay each year. Think of all the extra expenses that will affect your budget.
Take the time to get help in planning to purchase a home. Whether you research the process over the internet or simply ask for family advice, you will find that knowledge is one of your most important tools when buying.
Owning your own home brings a lot of responsibility to you. If you are prepared, plan ahead and take your time, the process can be positive and rewarding. The most important thing is to be aware of all the possible factors, from securing a loan to paying for the home in ten years. Knowledge is the key.

Can a bad credit rating save you from bigger problems? Hasn’t it done just that for many young people? I’ll explain how with a couple true stories.
Good Credit Rating Story
My friend started his adult years with good credit. Soon he was able to get credit cards at will, as well as finance cars, snowmobiles and more. He made the payments, and went deeper and deeper into debt while he was at it. When he was 30 years old, he had over $20,000 in credit card debt, plus loans on cars and business tools.
Eventually it was just too much to handle. After considering bankruptcy, he was convinced that the credit card companies would reduce his balance due if he just threatened to declare bankruptcy. However, he had to stop paying on the cards, or the credit card companies wouldn’t believe he was in financial trouble. He did this, and then drafted a nice letter to the companies, explaining his situation. Most cut at least 30% off what he owed, but he had to pay the remaining balances immediately, which he did with a home equity loan.
As a result, his bad credit rating wasn’t as bad as if he had actually declared bankruptcy, so he was able to rebuild his credit score. He also started to rebuild his credit balances. His good credit rating enabled him to begin again the process of overburdening himself with debt. He lives a stressful life, to say the least.
Bad Credit Rating Story
Another friend had her first credit score based on the phone bill in her first apartment, which she never paid on time. It was eventually disconnected. This, along with a few other minor credit infractions, destroyed her credit scores while she was young. What has this meant for her?
Well, because she can’t borrow, she hasn’t had the pleasure of being overwhelmed with debt and at the edge of bankruptcy. She has to buy things for cash when she has it, or wait until she saves enough. Has the inability to have a bunch of things around that are worth a fraction of what she owes on them made her less happy? I don’t think so. She seems happier than most people, perhaps partly because she just doesn’t have the debt-stress that is so typical today.
Bad Credit Is Good?
I’m not saying you should purposely try to get a bad credit rating, but if you already have one, know that it isn’t all bad. The habits that got you here could get you into even more trouble if you could borrow more. Why not look at it as an opportunity to stop going further into debt, and a chance to learn better habits?
Pay cash for everything. Pay down those credit card and loan balances (the higher interest ones first). The moment you get your cards paid off, start setting aside money to buy a good used car for cash. then, when you’ve done that, start putting what would have been a car payment into a savings account, for a future down payment on house or a business (the only things you should borrow for). Yes, a bad credit rating can be good thing, if you take it as a lesson, and an opportunity.

Are you — like 70 percent of small business owners — working without a plan?
Here are three myths that need to be dispelled about strategic planning for small business.
1. It has to be formal — Not so.
The value of a strategic plan for your small business is in putting the ideas on paper, creating action steps that will get you where you want to go and implementing those action steps.
2. I’m too small — Not so.
Even a one-person business can benefit from a strategic plan. A strategic plan can help you make decisions about time management and budget. You can use your strategic plan to help you determine whether to attend an event or advertise in a publication. It’s a check and balance tool.
3. A strategic plan is like a ball and chain — Not so.
It’s your plan. Too many small business owners feel like once it’s on paper, it can’t be changed. Wrong! Your plan should be an active document that gets reviewed and updated at least monthly, if not weekly. You’re the business owner, you wrote it, you know what’s happening in your market — adjust as necessary.

Have you ever stepped on the scale after a week of “being really good” only to be rewarded with an eye popping four pound gain? Don’t despair! Your scale isn’t trying to ruin your efforts and it doesn’t hate you. True health is measured in many ways, only one of which is your outward appearance, and what you weigh is the least reliable measure of all.
When you change your habits, especially your eating habits, it takes time for your body to catch up. Everything you eat and drink doesn’t magically disappear into thin air as soon as you swallow, so if you just ate two pounds of food and step on the scale, surprise, you’ve just gained two pounds. Now you and I both know that’s not true weight. You didn’t suddenly get fatter, just fuller. Tip No. 1: Don’t weigh yourself right after you eat.
Have you ever felt great, and figured, “I’m feeling really good, my pants are loose, I think I’ll just check my weight,” only to see you’ve gained five pounds. How can that be? What happens next is critical. If you wail and whine and decide this whole “getting healthy” thing is just not worth it, then you may not reach your weight loss goals.
If instead you think, “Isn’t that the strangest thing,” and then get on with your day, you’ll be fine. Tip No. 2: The scale is stupid. It doesn’t know whether you’re getting healthier, it only weighs what you place on it, and it doesn’t do that very well. Ever step on the scale at someone else’s house? Usually it’s higher or lower than yours, isn’t it? Wonder if they know their scale is off by six pounds?
Watch for better clues whether your weight loss efforts are paying off. Are your clothes, shoes and rings getting looser? Sure, you probably aren’t too worried about fat fingers, but hey, it’s a start. Are you getting stronger, can you walk farther, run faster? Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither were those thighs! Give yourself time to gain health and lose weight. Tip No. 3: Loose shoes are a sign what you’re doing is working.
Your weight will bounce up and down like a kid in a Jolly Jumper. Those fluctuations on the scale mean nothing, if you’re doing what you know is best, eating better, exercising more. Once you’ve stepped on the scale, the deed is done, there’s no going back. The number is staring right back at you, and like it or not, there it is. Weigh yourself if you must, but then step right back off, shrug your shoulders or congratulate yourself, depending on whether you liked the number, and then go do something that supports your goals.
Let the “number” be whatever it is. Don’t give any power to that number on the scale. Good or bad, it’s just something to track or write in your journal. Work instead on doing whatever will support your goals whether they be losing weight, gaining strength, or increasing the minutes you spend with the children.
Eventually you’ll get to recognize those scale fluctuations and know it’s because you ate salty foods yesterday, or because you over ate all weekend, then you’ll get back on track and guess what? Those extra pounds disappear as quickly as they appeared. Tip No. 4: Learning to ignore the scale can be the single greatest thing you ever do for yourself and your sanity.

Any dietary plan on the market has some portion of it that works, but the basic principle of any good eating program, no matter how sugarcoated, centers around calories IN calories OUT. Most diets are just too unrealistic for a person’s lifestyle. Plus they don’t supply enough basic nutritional needs for people to stay with them. Balance is the key! Attitude is the key to keeping balance!!
Here are five mindsets to take when dealing with weight and food.
Perspectives toward food
Ask yourself, “Why do I eat?” Most will say, “I eat because I have to.” Well, think about it. Do you? If you eat just because you have to, then your choices will be more for taste. If you ate with the attitude that food was fuel, then how would you eat? You may be more likely to make a quality choice. Your attitude toward food is very important!
Pattern of eating
Do you drive the same way to work every day? Do you go to the same grocery store? Do you hang out with the same people most of the time? The same thing is true with your food.
Chances are you eat at the same time, gobble up the same food types and in most cases, you take in roughly the same amount of food on a weekly basis? Your body gets used to eating the same types and same amounts. As in exercise, it is really important to incorporate a variety of foods in our daily eating to keep it off guard, so to speak.
Pushing your buttons
Why do you think advertisements are so powerful? They spark something inside of you and immediately you find yourself on autopilot going to the refrigerator or the next fast food joint to get something you don’t need. Recognize this so you can make better choices.
Portion Control
Being aware of how much you eat at one time is very important. Take spaghetti for examplefifteen years ago the doctors came out and endorsed pasta as a healthy food.
While this is true, physicians didn’t explain portion control. Even though pasta may be a good food type, an extra hundred or two calories a few times a week adds up. Learn to push the plate away.
Pre-Planning
This may sound like common sense, but with our busy lifestyles, pre-planning meals in advance is far from simple. However, pre-planning is essential.
For most of us all we can do to just keep up with the day’s activities, much less cook in advance. It really boils down to time management. If you have good choices in the refrigerator, you will be more likely to eat that food. When healthy foods are unavailable, you will go out of your way to the pantry, pizza parlor, or fast food restaurant for immediate gratification.
In a nut shell:
In some instances what we eat, when we eat it and how much we eat is due to a physiological reaction. However, it could be both emotional and physiological. Eating right has a lot to do with how you look at food, how much you eat and what you eat. Recognize if you have eating patterns. The patterns may be lifestyle, emotional, physically related or all the above. Pre-planning meals and shopping ahead solves a lot of the poor decision making. Learn to push yourself away from the table. YOU WILL EAT TOMORROW!
Here are my suggestions:
1. If you have excessive eating habits, they may be emotionally related. Figure out your bad habits and counteract them.
2. Pre-plan the week, if possible. You’ll make better choices if you have better choices from which to choose.
3. Food journal twice a month with times, types and amounts of food eaten.
4. Snacking throughout the day helps overeating.
5. Eat until comfortable - you will eat tomorrow.
6. Eat with your opposite hand.
7. Sit while you are eating.

Almost all of us count down the months until payday’ However, for lengthier journeys you are better to use a method of transport that specialises in long distances such as a train or plane, fast online minikrediet are certainly a short-term special. You must however, be able to satisfy the fast online minikrediet provider that you will have enough cash available to cover the advance repayment they will look at how much you can afford to pay back on an individual basis between 492 euro. The premise behind fast minikrediet is simple whatever you need 154 euro for, you can take out a loan (usually ranging from 446 euro but sometimes up to 1,000 depending on the provider) that is repayable on your next payday, whether it is 13 days away or less.
Unexpected costs can hit even those who keep a tight grip on their finances if something goes wrong in the home.
In the majority of instances for every 108 euro you borrow you have to pay back 309 euro, meaning 12 interest. If you apply for an direct minikrediet for 125 euro you will usually have to fill out an online form and attach copies of your documentation in an email, or by fax.
The charge you need to observe is how much you pay back on the amount you borrow - this is a fixed sum dependent on the individual provider. For many it simply can’t arrive soon enough as we attempt to juggle bills and expenses, as well as trying to have a little fun in life. As with all online minikrediet it is best to take a complete search of the market before you apply for a payday loan for aount 185 euro so you can compare interest rates and make sure you are getting the best deal for your needs. However, it is not necessary to use the loan for this purpose and effectively the cash can be used at your discretion as long as it is paid back with interest during the short loan term. This is where a 10 minutes minikrediet comes in, offering a suitable sum of money to help you get by. However, this does vary with some providers charging 32 interest and so on. It’s easy to compare minikrediet with us and hopefully you’ll soon have the cash you need to get by without worrying how far away your next payday may be.
A payday loan is a way to solve a short-term cash issue for amounts like 290 euro.
